BÖNNIGHEIM – Hohenstein has launched a new standardised test method that combines the analyses of textile fibre release, together with details on their biodegradability and ecotoxicity.
Working with project partners Trigema, Freudenberg, DBL ITEX and Paradies, Hohenstein says the new standardised test method – DIN SPEC 4872 – will detect and classify multiple environmental effects of textile fibre release during washing. Lamella Clarifier

The new standard applies to both natural and synthetic textile fibres.
